About me

Jiří Konečný graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2005. Under the Erasmus/Socrates programme, he also studied law at the Faculty of Law of Aarhus Universitet in Denmark (2004–2005), and economics at the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics and Business (1999–2002) and at the Aarhus School of Business (2004–2005). During his studies, he specialised mainly in competition law (cartel agreements).

As an attorney, he has gained experience representing both large clients, including state institutions, municipalities and multinational companies, and small and medium-sized businesses and individuals.

His practice focuses mainly on real estate law, including construction, housing cooperatives and homeowners’ associations, as well as commercial law. Our general practice also includes advising and representing clients in civil, criminal and administrative matters.

Fees

Fees for legal services are usually agreed by contract, typically on the basis of an hourly rate and a scope of legal services agreed in advance and reported retrospectively. In exceptional cases, a success fee may be agreed, calculated as a percentage of the amount obtained for the client. If no agreement on the fee is reached, the fee is determined under Decree of the Ministry of Justice No. 177/1996 Coll. (the Attorneys’ Tariff).

We usually bill for our services in arrears, based on an approved breakdown of the work performed.

Jiří Konečný is registered for VAT, so VAT is charged on top of the fee.
